Coats For Kids

"Cruisin' the Boulevard Coats for Kids" is a charitable event sponsored by the Bountiful Rotary Club. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this event dedicated to aiding our local children. Since our first Car Show in 1999 over 4000 children have received new winter coats, boots and mittens.

The Dictionary Project

"In the four years since the Bountiful Rotary has been involved with the Dictionary Project over 5500 dictionaries have been donated to local 3rd graders. The goal is to help the children become good writers, active readers and creative thinkers by providing the students with their own personal dictionary. The dictionaries are a gift to each student to use at school and at home for years to come.

4-Way Test

"Bountiful Rotarians volunteer to spend a class period talking with all the 9th grade students in groups of 4 students and 1 Rotarian. Using real life sernarios given to us by 9th graders we apply the Rotary 4 Way Test (1. IS IT THE TRUTH? 2. IS IT FAIR? 3. DOES IT BUILD GOOD WILL? 4. IS IT BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED?) as a decision making process to solve problems.

Polio Plus

"The GOAL IS TO ELEMINATE POLIO IN THE WORLD. Rotary International believed that because there are over One Million Rotarians spread through every country in the world, Rotary could be the boots on the ground to make it happen. Since 1989 millions of dollars have been donated and countless hours given to accomplish the GOAL. We're almost there - Way to go Rotarians!!

Back Pack Attack

""Back Pack Attack" gives Rotarians and local school childern a chance to remember school children around the world who have less but are in need of much. Through our "Back Pack Attack" effort we ask children to donate their old back packs which are then distributed to children of Third World Countries.

Scholarships

"Rotary believes that education is the "Key to World Peace". Because of our commitment to education the Bountiful Rotary has been active in providing SCHOLARSHIPS to local High School Seniors. Bountiful Rotary is also currently sponsoring Liesa Wade as an exchance student to Spain for her Senoir Year.

RYLA

"RYLA is an annual Youth Leadership retreat sponsored by the Rotary District of Utah each year. The Bountiful Rotary traditionally presents several scholarships to local high school juniors to attend the retreat. During the special 3 day event guest speakers and activities teach the youth to be better leaders in their school and become active in Community Service through Rotaract.

Eagle Scouts

"For the past 48 years Bountiful Rotary has presented local young men who achieve the rank of Eagle Scout an embroidered Eagle Neckerchief. The presentation is made to the Eagle Scout and his parents during our regular Thursday meeting. This is the oldest contineous Rotary service project in the State of Utah.
